Title: My fierce protector
This sculpture depicts the moment my father pleaded with his elders to keep me in the family.
Without him, I would’ve been sold as a Tung Yang Xi (a child/baby to be raised as a daughter-in-law) when I was a baby. Please check out my short story ‘The White Crane Mountains’ below. It’s fiction but based on the events surrounding my birth and birth registration.
